Arkansas is home to Hot Springs National Park. However, while it is not much like other national parks, as it sits in a city, it is still an interesting look at the history of the thermal features. There are also numerous states parks that I’d love to check out someday.

louisiana

New Orleans is the largest city in Louisiana. Additionally, it has one of the most unique cultures of any city in the US. It has an interesting blend of Carribean and French cultures, resulting in some amazing cuisine and history.

oklahoma

Oklahoma City and Tulsa make for great city destinations in Oklahoma. Additionally, there are numerous Native American sites you can visit.

 

new mexico

New Mexico is home to two great national parks, Carslbad Caverns and White Sands. Additionally, New Mexico is the location of the most popular UFO sighting, Roswell, and the town is now a mecca for those looking for extra-terrestrials.

Texas is home to two national parks, Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains. Additionally, it has numerous large cities, including Dallas, Austin, Houston, Fort Worth, as well as numerous others.
